Rolls-Royce does not build ordinary cars. They do not “do” average. And the elite only become more exclusive with the famed Black Badge treatment. Rolls-Royce has created these ultra-luxe editions of the Dawn, Ghost, and Wraith, and we expect a Cullinan Black Badge to join them soon.

What do we know about the Cullinan Black Badge? Not much as yet! But we have its siblings to look to for some answers. The Dawn, Ghost, and Wraith Black Badge models boosted power and performance features while adopting a sleek, edgy black color theme. We saw increases in horsepower, a more responsive steering and suspension system, and a more driver-focused experience.

Aesthetically, we expect darker body accents, carbon wheels, aluminum and carbon interior trim, and a striking black Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. The Black Badge models evoke a sense of brooding mystery and power that is waiting to be unleashed.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV is already plenty powerful: it features a 6.8 liter twin turbo V13 with 563 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Despite its 6000+ pound weight, it accelerates from 0 to 60 in five seconds. All while delivering that legendary magic carpet ride.

The Cullinan is fully capable of handling off-road demands with ease, thanks to its high clearance, self-leveling air suspension and five link rear axle, electronically controlled dampers, Flagbearer stereo camera system, and Adventure mode. You can tackle snow, mud, and even up to 21 inches of water. The Cullinan is rather unique in that it is an SUV not only in body but in spirit.

Still, though, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV is most synonymous with luxury, and a Black Badge edition would only cement its place as the world’s most elite sports utility vehicle.
