There’s something about being in an ultra-private, coveted club that is appealing to many people. In the automobile industry, you can’t get much more exclusive than the Rolls-Royce Black Badge. A Black Badge is the term used in the industry to denote the very special line of vehicles that Rolls-Royce makes. Considering that the company only makes 150 of these cars a year, it’s easy to see why it’s so difficult to get a hold of one. With a Black Badge vehicle you can expect a higher performance. The interior has a much darker aesthetic with more chrome (dark chrome, of course) and dark rims.

Given their elite beauty, it’s no wonder that three international photographers chose to photograph the Rolls-Royce Black Badge in one of the busiest, edgiest, cities in the world: Tokyo. The Wraith, the Ghost and the Black Badge Rolls-Royce Dawn were all taken to Tokyo and photographed in different locations with different photography styles.

For example, Yoshifumi Ogawa, a Japanese photographer, took the Wraith and the Ghost into the city to capture the essence of what Black Badge means with an urban background. British photographer Mark Riccioni, however, decided to check out the back streets of Tokyo where he photographed the Rolls-Royce Dawn. Photographer Darren Chan took the Wraith and the Black Badge Rolls-Royce Dawn on a little trip into Shinjuku.

It’s never been in doubt that no matter where you take a Black Badge vehicle you’re sure to be the center of attention, but there is something to be said about these three artists perspective and vision. To see the vehicles in different settings and through different eyes is definitely something we’ve thoroughly enjoyed. While you may not be able to get your hands on a Black Badge right now, there are plenty of other gorgeous Rolls-Royce vehicles you can view and test drive. Visit us to learn more.
