That’s why it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that a Velvet Wrapped Rolls-Royce Phantom made an appearance in central London. And that’s not just a figure of speech – this Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe is, quite literally, covered in beautiful black velvet. People passing by certainly looked, and several even stopped to touch the car in order to confirm their curiosity. Yes indeed, they were looking and touching a velvet wrapped car.

By using the Rolls-Royce Bespoke program, you could have a velvet wrapped Phantom as well. It comes in a range of colors and is developed by Velvet Car, a French company that works specifically in luxurious films and accessories for this sort of purpose. The velvet is created to be durable and weather-resistant, so drivers don’t have to worry about it falling apart their first time out. In fact, it is able to last for 3 years and can always be replaced or, if the owner wants, removed and the car can be restored to its original state. No special washing is required, either. Clean by hand or by jet wash – you don’t have to worry about hurting the velvet.
