2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn

When a car costs more than an average home in North America, you know that it is something special. Like all Rolls-Royce models, the 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn is one special deal. But in an era where there are so many great luxury vehicles, what is so special about the 2021 Dawn?

The 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn is not only a luxury vehicle, it is a reflection of the lifestyle and wealth of the owner.

PURCHASE IT NOW OR IT MAY BE GONE FOREVER

The Rolls Royce Dawn was first developed in 2016 and has undergone major upgrades each year. But for the first time, the 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible upgrades from the 2020 model are subtle.  The key reason for only minor modifications is because the Dawn is on its way out of the North American market at the end of the year.  If you have ever wanted one, 2021 is the year to purchase it.  This car may very well end up as a collector’s edition.

CUSTOMIZATION

Status and financial matters aside, the 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn is one gorgeous car with its classic Rolls-Royce shape and design. The entire car resonates with opulence and wealth, particularly the interior. Like all other Rolls-Royce cars, the Dawn offers myriad customization options; you name it, and the company will have it installed. It really is as simple as that.

FEATURES OF THE DAWN

First, this Rolls-Royce convertible comes with a huge 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 563 hp and offers an effortless driving experience. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for serenity and silence. The Dawn has been configured to use the GPS to determine when the gears should change when going downhill, uphill, or around sharp corners.

The 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn comes with the same lavish trimmings as other models; the one major difference is that the Dawn comes with a folding soft top. And, while other models hide the people in the car, the Dawn displays everything to the outside world when the top is down. Everything inside is luxurious and handcrafted, including genuine wood trims and high-end leather.

The touchscreen infotainment is now standard in all Rolls-Royce cars, but you can also have a TV installed for the passengers. The electronic system is hooked up to provide real-time traffic updates and there is a state-of-the-art 18 speaker stereo system to drown out the outside noise when you are cruising with the top down.  The Dawn includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

THE VERY FEW (MINOR) CONS

While the Dawn has many wonderful features, there are just a few minor drawbacks. First, there is not an all-wheel-drive option. Second, the car lacks some advanced safety features. And third, the trunk space is limited. These are minor points, though, because: it is not very likely that the car will be driven in the snow or ice; and, unless you plan on leaving it in a public airport parking lot, then the 2021 Rolls-Royce Dawn’s smaller trunk space shouldn’t be an issue.

CONCLUSION

It is important to understand that this grandiose vehicle is unlike other Rolls Royce models; it is meant to be driven by the proud owner and not a chauffeur. Despite the powerful V-12 engine, it is not a luxury car that needs to be accelerated everywhere. The convertible is meant for slow cruising, revealing to the public the multifaceted lavish luxury that the car has to offer, both inside and out. However, should the need arise, the Dawn can go from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds, which is considered pretty fast for a larger vehicle. The fuel economy, as would be expected, is not great and rates at 12/18 mpg city/highway.

THE COST

The base price of the Rolls Royce Dawn starts at $363,000, but by the time you factor in the taxes, delivery fees, and cost of the expensive state-of-the-art personalized upgrades, expect the price to rise about $600,000.
