Rolls-Royce SUV Won’t Be An SUV At All

As other luxury car makers dipped their toe into the SUV pool, Rolls-Royce has taken their time, debating on whether or not the new Rolls-Royce for sale would be an SUV. So far, they haven’t fully revealed that they’re working on a sports activity vehicle. Rather, they’ve been working on “Project Cullinan” and claim that the result wouldn’t be like anything else on the market. First, Rolls-Royce isn’t developing an “SUV.”  It doesn’t fit the typical standards or design that an SUV has. Instead, they’re calling it a “high-sided vehicle.” What they’ve made is, according to the legendary brand, “not necessarily sports, it’s not necessarily utility.” It’s essentially become the Rolls-Royce HSV – a category that doesn’t exist at the moment.

It’s hard to say what the response will be when it actually makes it into shows and on lots. Will the new Rolls-Royce for sale be a hit? Some guess that the design might be more akin to a station wagon, but only time will tell. If it does have a wagon-type body, we can be certain that it won’t be our grandma’s station wagon.
