Powerful Couple in Powerful Rolls-Royce Models

What do you do when you’ve done it all? If you’ve lived your life to the fullest, how do you reward yourself? That’s the question for Robert J. Barrett III and Cathy Tankoos Barrett – and they find the answer in Rolls-Royce models.

The Barretts make a powerful team as husband and wife. Bob’s counted friends from Robert Kennedy to Margaret Thatcher, while Cathy is the former editor of Town & Country. Her friends included Winston Churchill, Aristotle Onassis, and Grace Kelly.

Building a Braman Relationship

“Bob goes to Publix for a loaf of bread and comes home with a Rolls-Royce instead,” Cathy mentions. They’ve both relied on Rolls-Royce Motorcars of Palm Beach as their favorite Rolls-Royce dealership. Bob’s bought a total of 10 cars from this and other Braman dealerships. Why? Phantom Collector

Bob’s favorite might just be his 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead. Already a classic entry among the stunning line of Rolls-Royce models, he had to have it once he heard production was concluding. He also owns a 2015 Phantom. He refers to the advice of Braman’s Assistant Service Manager Bill Richter, with whom Bob’s developed a great relationship: “Bill will tell you that the best operating cars in the world are Phantoms.”

Giving Back

Bob is currently the chairman of Cross keys Investment Bank of Florida – the state’s No. 1 investment banker. Yet Bob has decided to use his success to help others as well. He serves pro bono as an attorney for widows and widowers who become stuck in the legal system.

A former model and an inductee into the United States Croquet Hall of Fame, Cathy works as the Regent of the local DAR chapter. They both love to take friends out in their Phantoms for a drive, to share in the rare luxury and performance these cars combine. It’s a powerful union, much like Bob and Cathy’s.
