What is the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Adamas Collection? In a word: stunning. We’d expect nothing less from this iconic brand – but even the masters of luxury have outdone themselves this time. The Bespoke Collective of the House of Rolls-Royce introduces an even more dark, aggressive, and yet quintessentially elegant, version of its beloved Wraith and Dawn. “Adamas” means untameable, invincible, and diamond. Be sure that the automaker has incorporated elements of all in this collection.

The Adamas features a darker aesthetic and utilizes elements designed for maximum impact. As Chief Executive Officer Torsten Müller-Ötvös says, “This is a motor car for the risk-taker who is not afraid to embrace a bold and progressive statement of true and modern luxury, in its darkest form.”

Bold and beautiful, the Adamas Collection features a Spirit of Ecstasy  constructed of 294 layers of machined aerospace carbon fiber. It takes some 68 hours to create – not to mention exacting craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. She stands regally on a titanium base with the infinity logo and the proud words, “Black Badge Adamas.”

The Collection includes 40 Wraiths and 30 Dawns, and they are the first two-toned Black Badge motorcars. The original Dawn featured a Mandarin Orange interior, while the original Wraith was bedecked in Cobalto Blue. Deeper versions of these hues are used on the exteriors: the Dawn has an Aphrodite Red over Black scheme, while the Wraith is Morpheus Blue over Black. Owners may choose from either option.

Inside, the clock is encrusted with laboratory grown black diamonds: luxury with an edge. The white face is also detailed with machined aluminum chaplets and an polished aluminum inner bezel. Buttery leather, a two-tone steering wheel, rich woven black leather on the door panniers and transmission tunnel, and other carefully considered and crafted elements emphasize the “darker side of luxury.”

But the star of the show, if we can use the pun, is the starlight ceiling of the Wraith Adamas. The starlight ceiling headliner features 1340 fiber optic lights and utilizes graded shading in the owner’s chosen color palette to accentuate the bespoke design.
