Rolls-Royce Shows Off Bespoke Options at the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show

April 19, 2015

The Bespoke program is always worth looking at when it comes to the world of Rolls-Royce. It allows people to get precisely what they want out of their Rolls-Royce car, whether that desire features hand-painted cherry blossoms on the ceiling, or a bold, unexpected color scheme on the exterior. Things have gotten quite interesting with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke program before – we can only expect them to continue to do so.

At the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show, Rolls-Royce was ready and excited to showcase the Bespoke program and all that it has to offer potential and even current Rolls-Royce customers. At the show, it revealed the Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection. This is its first public debut in the Asia Pacific region. This particular vehicle is based around the historical moment when the world water-speed record was broken by none other than a Bluebird K3 boat that was powered using a Rolls-Royce R-Engine.

Any first glance at the Waterspeed Collection will elicit a sound of excitement and awe. “Oohs” and “Aahs” are to be expected in the case of this brilliantly beautiful blue and brushed steel combination expertly designed upon this Phantom Drophead Coupe. The color has been dubbed “Maggiore Blue” in reference to the Italian Lake where the record was broken. Laser etchings and the exterior coachline also echo the boat’s memory.

Great care is taken with this particular Rolls-Royce Bespoke model. The brushed steel alone saw each piece of individual metal beaten by hand for 70 hours. After that, it was hand-brushed for an additional 10 hours. If you have ever doubted the dedication of those in the Rolls-Royce Bespoke program, that doubt should now be gone.

Discover all the ways that the Rolls-Royce Bespoke program can provide you with a beautiful, and individual, Rolls-Royce of your own. Pay homage to something special in your life, or simply seek to create the car you have always dreamed of.
