vintage rolls-royce meets new

If you are in the market for luxury, then I suggest you pay special attention to this article as it might convince you to consider Rolls-Royce and the cars they produce.

As we all know, Rolls-Royce makes some of the best luxury vehicles in the world with its trademark Spirit of Ecstasy statue on the hood and that iconic grille. To show how much time and effort Rolls-Royce puts into its craftsmanship, we will be cruising through history to understand this 100-year phenomenal transition.

Rolls-Royce Heritage

The history of Rolls Royce Ghost dates back over 114 years. The company has been through many changes, but one constant has been its commitment to luxury.

Recently, they held an event that brought together some of their vintage cars with their new lineup. It was a meeting of Rolls-Royce’s ghosts from the past and present, reminding us how this company has always been at the forefront of luxury.

Over the last century and a half, Rolls-Royce’s vehicles have changed tremendously, going from old-world craftsmanship to futuristic design, but their steadfast dedication to quality has never wavered. Their models are still built by hand in England, as they have been for more than 100 years. They keep up with technological advances, and their manufacturing methods are constantly evolving.

Nowadays, it takes about 12 hours to assemble a car body, whereas it took four times as long just 50 years ago. With so much work invested in each vehicle, including the development of materials like titanium, it’s no wonder that Rolls-Royce vehicles remain some of the most expensive today.

Old Meets New

On one hand, we have a lineup of vintage Rolls-Royces meticulously restored to their former glory. On the other hand, we have the new lineup of Rolls-Royce Ghost models. Both are impressive in their own right, but it’s interesting to see how they compare side by side.

The new Ghosts are certainly more luxurious, but the vintage models have a certain charm that can’t be beaten. You’ll find plenty of photos on our blog highlighting both old and new cars, so be sure to check them out!

The new lineup of Ghosts comes in two body styles. The first is a standard model with an extra-long wheelbase and rear seats to match. In addition, it also comes with a long bonnet, which refers to the front portion of the car. The second body style is called a drophead coupe, which features a fastback roofline borrowed from sports cars of that era. In addition, it has a sloping trunk that makes it look lower than the standard model.

Both are elegant and come at different price points for those looking for something more budget-friendly. It’s difficult to say which one would be best suited for your needs because there really isn’t a bad choice here.

So what do you think? Would you prefer the classic styling of a vintage car or something newer?

Restorations

At Rolls-Royce Palm Beach, we specialize in vintage Rolls-Royce restorations. We have a team of expert craftsmen who are passionate about bringing these iconic cars back to life. Our goal is to restore each car to its original glory while adding modern touches that make it unique.

Recently, our Palm Beach dealership’s repair center completed one of the most exciting restorations we’ve seen in years. For two months, our team meticulously restored and modified the 1923 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost owned by our very own dealer principal, Seth Braman, to make it look as close to new as possible while retaining its original character and aesthetic details.

We take pride in restoring these classic beauties to their former grandeur—and then some!

Final Thoughts

It was an amazing sight to see these two Ghost models from different eras side by side. It’s a reminder of how timeless and luxurious Rolls-Royce vehicles are. The new Ghost is a worthy successor to the original, and I can’t wait to see what future models will be like.
