The 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost may be ancient history for many, but a June episode of the Bravo reality TV show Southern Charm has brought it to the forefront once more. If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s a daily chronicle of both the personal and professional lives of several socialites who live in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s now in its sixth season on the network, and it shows no signs of slowing down soon, especially with continual press about character motives.

In a previous episode, one of the women the show follows – Kathryn Dennis – recently purchased a 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost for $126,258.50, leading many to wonder what is it about the Rolls-Royce Ghost interior or even the engine that would fetch such a price tag?

2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost Specs

This vehicle was a special car, but it is possible to get it used for a bit less than Dennis paid. When it debuted, the starting price was $245,000, and it came in as the company’s smallest sedan (as well as the least costly).  

Under the hood, you’ll find a twin-turbo V-12 with 563 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. The engine has an eight speed automatic transmission, and it moves from 0 – 60 in 4.7 seconds.  It’s ten inches longer than many minivans on the market today, making it ideal if you really need the space. Both 19 and 20 inch wheels were available on this model. 

Inside, it’s as beautiful as any other Rolls-Royce. The dashboard is a combination of both wood and chrome, as well as a navigation system similar to the sophisticated BMW iDrive system. The 16-speaker stereo offers USB and iPod integration. It came with both two and three seat rear configurations. 

The 2011 Ghost is a beautiful vehicle, whether a reality television star chooses to buy it or any other consumer is interested. And with a bit of shopping, it doesn’t always have to come with that price tag.
